Lil Primark Haul

Ok so I had a lil lapse of savings head and treated myself to a few bits in Primark, but come on it's primark surely it doesn't count :P

13 Pounds.
Right I know this is a little summery as really it's autumn/winter purchasing time but I feel fate has rewarded me, as the day I bought this the sun came out and hasn't gone away (yet). Also as the weather seems to be gradually turning I can add tights and a chunky cardigan and it'll be fine.

8 Pounds.

Well as Clueless is one of my favourite films the moment I saw this I just couldn't resist, the cute check print is bang on for the new season and the peter pan collar gives it a proper preppy feel which I love. I'll be doing a post looking at Cher as a style icon and this will definetely be making an appearence.

Hats- 8 Pound per.
I have been after a pork pie hat for a while now and was just about to purchase one from Topshop when I spied these little beauties. The excuse for why there is two, is that as am still purchasing autumn/winter items I didn't know which colour would be best (hope you're buying this) so for 8 pound I think it was only right I get it in two colours, well you never know.

3 Pound.
After seeing alot of celebrities sporting really simple yet pretty bangles that just have two gold studs I was very pleased to see a (very) cheap copy. There isn't much to these bracelets but I think thats what makes them so pretty.

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation Review

I did have pictures showing the foundation on but they were way too close for comfort and of pretty poor quality so it didn't seem worth it. However this is a pretty decent foundation, you only need a pea sized amount for a complete coverage and it glides on very easily. Just like the advert states it's matte without being cakey or drying. My skin is fairly normal type but usually matte foundations are too drying and end up looking patchy.
In terms of how it fairs throughout the day it does tend to stick quiet well providing you don't perform tasks that are too ardeous. However it doesn't really compare to any high-end foundations but for 5.99 you can't really go wrong!

AutumnWinter 2013/14 Trends # 2 Punk&Grunge

There is no denying the highstreet and catwalks have been awash with studs and tartan. I love the punk/grunge look it's like putting two fingers up to everyone and anyone and shows a real flash of proper attitude not to mention it plays homage to Dr.Martens and Vivienne Westwood.

Topshop Matte Nails Review

Topshop make-up is like marmite to me, it's either fab and I love it or it's rubbish and I hate it.
I noticed these little matte beauties had arrived online and after a recent shopping trip I decided to give one a go.

I ended up picking the shade Brutal as I had my autumn/winter head on. From the outside it looked like a delicous plum like purple (to me anyway) but once applied..

It was alot darker than I imagined and the application was kind of awkward as you can see I need to clean up a little. There is no denying the matte effect which is nice and although the colour wasn't exactly what I expected but I still like it. The downside is the messy application but that might be my own clumsy fault.
All in all,  I would purchase again but maybe take colour into more consideration.
Have you tired any topshop make-up?

Investigating The Myths # 1 Combing In Conditioner

From a young age we are given tips and advice that are mothers swear by, shaving hair makes it grow back thicker or never sleep in make-up because it will ruin your skin, but do they necessarily make a difference? I've decided to investigate and unveil the truth behind some of these fables.

Firstly combing in your conditioner when your hair is wet.

My hair is a mess, there’s no two ways about it am pretty convinced when I go to the hairdressers there’s a black mark against my name and they take turns having to tackle it! Basically it's incredibly thick, curly and easily prone to knotting. From the age of 16 and the best birthday present I ever recieved were my GHD's an absolute godsend and from then on I was a straightening addict. Sadly now am beginning to pay for or it! So in a battle to get my hair back into decent health I am confiscating the straighteners and adding conditioner, masks and being alot more gentle.

I have been combing my conditioner through for around a month now and I can definitely say it works!
My hair feels softer, stronger and looks in better condition, so I definitely recommend this tip!

Is there any myths you'd like me to try out? Or are there any you've tried?

X

You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.

Ok they're not exactly suede but how pretty?! :)

Kind of a little bit in love I must admit. I picked up these babies from River Island  the other day. I don't know how practical they'll be come snow and ice but I plan on wearing them plenty before that happens! X

Cuppa With Cara & Basic Nail Art

I think its official winter's here and I have been freezing! So in amongst consuming copious cups of tea I picked up the lastest issue of Look. Not like I needed any more convincing of how fab Cara is but an article helps explain the fascination with the gal, she's unique and fun loving and is a model that actually smiles and doesn't take herself too seriously Hurraah! Her aptitude is refreshing to see and is a great role model for future generations.

First apply Barry M Nail Texture in Atlantic Blue, apply more coats depending how bright you want it.

Then sweep Barry M Pink Crackle over the top.

Easy Peasey! x
