Build Me Up Buttercup

Well actually this is all about the anti- build up, namely Boots own build up removal shampoo.

My process is to wash my hair with the product, wait a day then do a deep conditioning treatment.
The product itself does exactly what it says, afterwards it feels really clean. It doesn't smell great but I wouldn't expect it to.
Will certainly purchase again.

Revlon Chalk Board Nail Art

I was nosing around Boots the other day and came across this lil beauty. I've never seen this before and was very intrigued.

First Step: Apply black matte base coat.
I applied two coats just to be safe.

Next Step: Paint on your own design
The brush for painting on design is a typical thin nail art brush but is pretty good.
Overall I really like the effect and might try it in different colours.

Avon Calling! Advance Techniques Moroccan Aragan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner Review

So I decided to purchase the Advance Techniques Moroccan Aragan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner from Avon. I was advised under the reccommendation of a hairdresser due to the nature of my hair. My hair is thick frizzy and curly and very prone to dryness.
I've used the products a few times now and I am pretty impressed the smell is lovely, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and helps keep the curls in more tact than frizz. You only need a small amount and it is very easy to work into the hair.
However I believe the product is best on thicker hair as I'd say it would just be too heavy for thin hair.

Cookie Monster CupCakes!

So last week the baking bug bite and I decided to make these bad boys! :)
Heres the recepie I used-

Ingredients:
Cupcake mix (makes 6 medium cupcakes)
50g Self raising flour
50g Caster sugar (superfine)
50g Butter or margarine
1 Egg
Butter Frosting:
250g unsalted butter
300g icing sugar
Sprinkle of vanilla
Milk – no more than 4 tablespoons
Blue food colouring
Extra's:
Cookies (any brand)
White Chocolate Buttons
Choc Chips.

Cupcake Sponge Recipe:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (Electric oven | Electric fan oven 160°C | Gas Mark 4) and place paper cases into a muffin tin
  2. Using an electric whisk, food processor or wooden spoon, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  3. Add in the egg, beating it well
  4. Fold in the flour
  5. Bake in the oven for 10 – 20 minutes. After 10 minutes, check to see if the cupcakes are ready by inserting a cocktail stick into one of the cupcakes. If it comes out dry then the cupcakes are done. If not, pop the cakes back in the oven for a few more minutes. Lift the cupcakes out of the muffin tin and leave to cool on a wire rack.
Butter Frosting Recipe:
  1. Mix the unsalted butter, icing sugar and vanilla
  2. Add the tablespoons of milk, one tablespoon at a time and stir in well
  3. Whisk for 10 minutes
  4. Take out  4-5 tablespoons of the mixture and keep in a separate bowl
  5. Add the blue food colouring to the remaining mixture. Stir well.
  6. Add the cookies by halving and wedging carefully onto frosting.
  7. Stick white chocolate buttons on top
  8. Add choc chips to buttons for eyes.
