I don't know if it's
the change in season or a spike in a new trend but I feel like there's an
abundance of all things floral around lately.
Garnier, Superfacialist and Liz Earle to name a few are a wash with roses, lavender and honey. I am on a mission to really amp up my skin care regime, it maybe the looming 25 age mark or just a lust for spending funds on pretty products but either way game on. L'Oreal Paris Fine Flowers Cleansing Toner caught my eye, I have read about the powers of rose-hip oil and thought this would suit my skin. As you can see the packaging is simple, yet pretty and pink. I had used Simple toner from a young age and whilst it did work (i've only ever really had a break out of 3 spots) I wanted to move onto a product that could do a bit more. I am after a toner that not only keeps the skin clean and clear but actually works at reducing blemishes.
I've heard Liz Earle
and Neals Yard toners pack a punch and come highly recommended but I wanted to
give the 'drug store' products a go before jumping head first for the slightly
pricier product.
The smell, application and feel of the L'Oreal toner is fine, the smell is fresh and pleasant and matches it fine flower title, it's gentle and doesn't leave me red faced as some products have before but I cant say its really 'done' anything for my skin.
The products tagline is-
The
fresh texture invigorates the skin and eliminates the last traces of
impurities, for perfectly cleansed complexion. Whilst the
product left my skin feeling clean, I have to admit that’s about all it
did. My skin doesn't feel smoother or invigorated.
Overall I'd say this is a good toner if you are just after a simple toner that cleans and leaves a fresh feel but sadly I want more, more more!
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic you're up next.
