Superdrug Vitamin E Range- New Additions

I must admit I've only used a few products from the vitamin E Range at superdrug, mainly because I frequent at Boots. However after trying a few items in the range I shall certainly be switching up my routine.

I tried the Vitamin E Micellar solution, In-Shower-Moisturizer and sugar oil scrub.
I've been after a micellar solution for a while but was afraid the majority can be quiet stripping on the skin but find that with the added vitamin E the product gets rid of make-up and dirt but still has some moisture for the skin.
The sugar scrub gets rid of dry skin and leaves a silky oily affect on the skin and is very easy to apply and rinse off.
The in-shower-moisturizer isn't as good as the nivea version but does still do the job, the smell is very vague so isn't too over-powering on the senses.

Overall, I like the products they're simple, good on the skin, suitable for sensitive skin and smell quiet fresh however perhaps compared to similar products wouldn't fair as well.

No 7 Cleansing Oil Review

No matter how hard I try I never feel like I've completely removed all my make up and go to bed with 'clean skin' so I have been searching to form the perfect night time regime and trying various lotions and potions. It's been said by many beauticians and dermatologists that the most important aspect of good skincare in your 20's is cleansing and protecting. Protection is easily achieved through an SPF moisturizer and SPF foundation but cleansing is a little more difficult. As I said I’d cleanse, scrub and tone and still the next day I'll find remnants of make- up the next day (sigh).

So when No. 7 introduced this new cleansing oil, which apparently dissolves make- up I, was transfixed and pretty skeptical. But I have to say it is a pretty powerful product! It really does have some force behind it. You massage the oil into the face leave a few minutes then wash away with warm water and I was amazed and a little disgusted the colour of the water afterwards!

That said it does require a little wipe afterwards just to ensure nothings left behind but as far as removing make-up especially the eye gear it does make one hell of a cleanser!

Would certainly recommend and will definitely be purchasing again.

Major Life Update!

Hello guys!

Well after what feels like a lifetime I finally have some sense of normality back in the form of internet! So I can at last get back to regular blogging.

First of I need to fill you in on some major updates!
Me and my boyfriend decided to move in together and back to Leeds, I was lucky enough to get a job at a new branch of the Evoloution store (more details to come) and after working damm hard for a month I was offered the supervisor position! Yaey! I am so lucky to work alongside amazing people and to have been rewarded with this opportunity! I am too happy atm!
Although it's took 2 months to sort out we have internet properly installed and I am back to reality.

So stay tuned for upcoming posts!

The Death of The Dot-to-Dot

When I was a child I was always equipped, in the sense that if I went anywhere I had back-pack (usually power puff girls) filled with things to keep me occupied. Too many times lately I am seeing kids crying out for attention or in utter frustration as they are bored and why wouldn't they be, they have nothing to keep them entertained. Usually after a fair few minutes of crying and screaming the child is tossed an i-phone to appease them. This outcome lasts for a few minutes before the consenting adult NEEDS the phone back becuase they may be missing some anti-social-social media interaction. Now am not saying this is anyone's fault, it's just the way we are all becoming programmed, an over realiance on technology that festers laziness.

I pity kids growing up in the future and pine for some of the old school things, although there is no question that technology has made life easier I do wonder are there any educational benefits to playing with phones? Activity books take focus and tend to include some problem solving, books have pictures and teach reading and smart phones let you deform a picture of yourself.
So I find myself asking where is Wally? The answer, he is sitting on his i-phone ignoring the world around him and pretending to live a life dominated by check-ins and status updates.

I do have a cataclysmic, dystopian fear than one day everyone will be permanently to some form of technology and actual, real interaction will be dead. Massive, paraniod fears aside there is something tragic about the lack of children playing with traditional forms of entertainment. Perhaps I am just getting old or I am finding it difficult to understand this new type of society. I am pretty hypocritical, right now for example my other windows consist of facebook, topshop and instagram how concieted I hear you cry. But yes I am guilty of indulging in some solo, cyber, ignorance but I also refuse the kindle as I love holding an actual book, whenever it's sunny I have to be outside and unless completely bed bound I require lots of fresh air.

Furthermore, what may have once been a stereotyoe associated with southerners has certainly spread up the map as everyone is afraid of striking up a conversation unless the ultimate goal is to 'get lucky'. If an incident occurs which makes conversation easier than striking a match some people look on at you horrifed for making an attempt at interaction, then go back to thier phones. Sigh

Well I for one will not become a 20th century, tecnological drone, So I say we bring back dot-to-dots, slinkys and dinosaur activity books oh and of course crayola.

Garnier Beauty Oil Vs Garnier Beauty Oil Body Lotion

I bought the body oil a few months back and did really like it however the application took too long to soak in. This problem is solved through the body lotion.

Both products smell amazing, very luxurious and send me dreaming of a midsummer night in an exoctic country. The texture is very nourishing and my skin is noticeably different after one application. As I said the oil just takes too long to soak in however it is a nice treat once in a while.

For general use I would recommend the lotion as it's just a little easier.

Happy Easter Everyone! I came across this adorable skirt via ebay and just fell in love and couldn't resist the easter theme.
Sadly i imagine it's pretty rare but could always keep your eyes peeled through Ebay.
I picked this jumper up the other day from Tesco for 16 pound and it's so nice, incredibly comfortable and a lovely pastel pink, perfect for those slightly colder spring days :)

Refresh Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser Cocoa

I had tried the orginal Nivea In-Shower and loved nearly everything about it, it did moisturise and a quick and easy process but the smell was reallly not for me and so off put me completely. Perhaps more agreed as the Nivea bunch have brought out two new scents to the product, honey and cocoa.
Cocoa butter seems universally accepted and a lovely classic, you can't argue with it.
Overall I am now converted and this is a staple in my routine.

Deep Cleanse With No 7

I was hesitating about purchasing a facial brush for a few months but after reading countless reviews and comparing prices I finally went for it. No 7 reccommend to only use the brush twice a week, which is undersatndable as it can be a little harsh. I haven't been as meticulous as I probably should be but have still noticed and felt the difference. I have black heads on my nose and have noticed they have improved, not gone but better.
I start off by applying No 7 Hot Cloth Cleanser in circular motions upwards from neck to forehead.
I then rest a warm, wet cloth on my face for a few minutes allowing for pores to open.
I then use the facial brush.
Then tone my face an apply moisturiser.
Ultimately, unless you have very sensitive skin I believe one of these gadgets is a must have. I purchased mine from No 7 via boots for 24.95.
